Synopsis
Cambria Cosgrove is a successful fashion blogger from Pasadena, the land of sun and the
famous Rose Parade. Unhappy in her marriage, Cambria has finally made the bold decision to leave her husband Carter in spite of her good catholic girl upbringing. She just dropped divorce papers on the kitchen counter this morning and hopped on a plane to London with her best friend.

On their first night out in Notting Hill, Cambria meets an exotic, dark-haired musician by the name of Zander Slayne but Cambria has absolutely no desire in getting involved with another man, especially so soon after leaving her husband. Zander puts the Bad in Bad Boy with his various tattoos and smouldering looks. He is so not her type and besides, the ink isn't even dry on the divorce papers yet. But Zander is relentless.

Meanwhile, back home in Pasadena, Carter is frantic and will do just about anything to get Cambria back. He's got problems of his own but focuses his attention on Cambria and refuses to believe she no longer loves him.

My Review
This books chronicles the thoughts and feeling of a woman on the precipice of divorce. After feeling unloved and ignored she makes a spur of the moment decision to up and leave for a vacation in the UK. It is here that she meets musician Zander through a chance encounter in a bar, the chemistry begins and with his good looks, muscled arms and tattooed skin, Cambria soon finds herself wanting him.

I enjoyed the character development between the two leads as it wasn’t instant, but had a build up with little breaks in between where one of the two gave in to their desires. It was frustrating at times with Zander being hot and cold with Cambria, and his behaviour made me a bit suspicious of him that he was up to something, but then BAM! All that build up leads to some hot scenes between Cambria and Zander.
“You’re a very talented sexaphonist.”
Holy shit, did I just day SEXAPHONIST?
That’s stupid!
“Thank you. I’ve been told on more than one occasion.” He replies with a huge smirk.
I loved the dialogue and interactions of all the characters with one another and I LOVED Laney as a supporting character.
“I don’t want this to end Zander.” I say as the pod begins its descent.
“Neither do I, Cambria.” He replies just before he kisses me passionately on the lips.
While they are busy getting to know one another, Cambria’s husband Carter comes out of the woodwork anxious to get Cambria back. With all the drama occurring, the twist in the story completely caught me by surprise and I was shocked to say the least.
“Do you love him Cam?” Laney asks. She looks at me with a worried look on her face, as if she’s secretly hoping that I’m not.
At the end of the book I feel so bad for Cambria, she returns home feeling betrayed and the long distance between the two characters is apparent and were left wondering if there will be a happily ever after. The book ends on a great plot twist with an ending thought of “Oh shit!” and I can’t wait to read the next instalment!
